Carter – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Carter
DOB: 06/03/2024
Gender: Male
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $200
Location: Carina Heights
Snuggle scope: Loves cuddles once he knows you
Cat scope: Loves all feline friends
Dog scope: Untested but should be OK with slow introduction
Child scope: A little nervous around new people & noise but should be OK with calm/older children once he knows them

About:

Carter has turned into a gorgeous, affectionate kitty after difficult start to life.
He had been living rough and came into care with cat flu. Due to terrible conjunctivitis, he couldn’t see at all, so was terrified of anything noisy. Since his eyes have been treated and he can now see, he has come ahead in leaps and bounds in confidence and affection.
Loud noise & new people still scare him initially, but once he gets to know you, he is a complete snuggle monster. He loves pats, sitting on your lap and putting his chin on your shoulder. He vocalises to let you know that he wants attention, cuddles and food. He is also very attentive, making direct eye contact with his beautiful big green eyes to get your attention. His tabby coat is now so shiny and healthy and he has the cutest little pointy black tips on his ears.
He equally loves cats – all cats – and just wants to play with them so much!
With some patience and love, this little guy will continue to grow in confidence and will be a perfect, adoring companion. He has so much love to give to his human/s and equally to other furry friends and he completely deserves it

Esmeralda – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:
Name: Esmeralda
DOB: 10/10/2023
Gender: Female
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Adoption Fee: $200
Location: Northgate
Snuggle scope: Very shy but friendly once she trusts you
Cat scope: Great with right introduction
Dog scope: Not tested
Child scope: Finds children overwhelming

About:
Hi, my name is Esmeralda, and I’m as beautiful as my name is. I’m a very sweet girl with a purr like an engine. I’m the only girl among 4 brothers, so I know how to throw down with the boys.
I absolutely love other cats and am usually off causing some sort of mischief with them, playing with them. I’m definitely not a solo diva, I like to have a buddy.
I’m all about food, all the time. I love it. I know when it’s dinner time and will come screaming with excitement when I hear my food. I like to weave between my carers feet in an attempt to help her hurry up with the food.
I’m quite shy, and it may take me time to warm up. So I will need a patient family who will take the time (my time) to allow me to build my trust up with you. But once I do, I’m an extremely sweet girl. I have grown up with a human child, but I would prefer a quiet calmer home as sometimes the noise of a child is a lot for me.
But I can ensure that once you have gained the trust of this beautiful girl, you will be rewarded 10 fold. She has soo much love to give, but I just need time to trust.
If you think you can give this little girl the time and patience she requires to blossom into the incredible beauty she is, come meet her.

Ethan – Male Siamese Cross

Adoption Profile:

Name: Ethan
DOB: 01/12/2023
Gender: Male
Breed: Siamese Cross
Adoption Fee: $200
Location: Fitzgibbon
Snuggle scope: Work in progress, needs continued socialisation
Cat scope: Very friendly
Dog scope: Untested
Child scope: Untested, older gentle children likely ok

About:

Ethan is a VERY handsome man. And boy oh boy does he know it! If you’re looking for a man in finance, trust fund, 6’5”, blue eyes… We can’t help you.
HOWEVER although Ethan may not work in finance, he is very good at adding… his toys to his water bowl instead of playing with them. He doesn’t have a trust fund, but his vet bills cost us the equivalent of one. He isn’t 6′ 5, but he is growing into a very big boy. He’s got the blue eyes covered though! The bluest of blue, deep and dreamy like a private lagoon in Fiji, but with a few more teeth and claws.

Ethan is a stereotypical hot boy. Treat em mean keep em keen is his main MO, with just enough chirpy banter, hilarity, and smooch to reel you back in every time he breaks your heart. Unlike your ex though, you CAN change him! He really DOES just need patience and unconditional love to heal his previous heartaches, and uncover the affectionate gentleman we know he can be.

Ethan is great at setting boundaries with people, but terrible at respecting them. He still isn’t keen on too much affection, but will allow a quick pat on the back or bum at meal times, or if he’s very relaxed on the couch. He loves letting you think you’re his new bestie by smooching all over your legs, and then bunny hopping away with a chirp when you try to pat him like it’s a game. He also loves to curl up on the couch next to you, or on the end of the bed on your legs, then reaching out to drag your hand (or toes!) towards him for a sniff and to hold. When he’s had enough, he whips out his signature move called the *whackwhackwhack* to give a gentle reminder that HE is the boss and not you. Because he is still learning that claws aren’t for friends, he may not be suited to families with young children.

Ethan is a cat’s cat, if your cat needs a buddy, Ethan is your guy. He LOVES having other feline friends around, and is good at respecting their boundaries. He’s very playful and inquisitive, and also loves a snuggle and shared grooming session so another cat who can match his best friend energy would be ideal.

While Ethan came into care very unwell and completely unsocialised, he has made incredible progress in the last few months. His foster Mum knows that there is a total lovebug just waiting to come out, and BFF will support with tips and tricks for a slow introduction to a new home and further socialisation. Ethan would be best in a cat savvy home that has the patience (and treat supply) to continue working with him a while longer to completely bring him out of his shell. Whoever takes a chance with Ethan is in for a treat, he’s funny, quirky, sometimes goes cross eyed when he’s sleepy, and is just a very good boy.

Ezra – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:
Name: Ezra
DOB: 20/11/2023
Gender: Male
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $200
Location: Cannon Hill
Snuggle scope: Likes his feet planted on the ground but purrs when held
Cat scope: good, but doesn’t always understand social cues
Dog scope: Not of fan of seeing the dog through the window in his foster home
Child scope: Best suited to a home with older children (12+) or no kids

About:This handsome little guy with his gorgeous caramel tiger stripes was reported scared and all alone hiding out in a shed crying each night for help. Upon coming into care he hid for the first 24 hours looking for an escape route but soon realized that he was safe and fed and most importantly loved. He even braved his first vet visit and was given a clean bill of health.
Named Ezra meaning help and strength, he has shown he is a purr machine when shown love. He’s still nervous of loud noises and sudden movements and is timid around strangers but he’s come a long way in a short period, arching his back for tail scratches and wanting head bops from his foster mummy and his new foster fur family.
He’s loving playtime with his foster furfriends and is learning how to be a cat after being on his own at such a young age.

Franklin – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Franklin
DOB : 29/11/23
Gender : Male
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $200
Location: Bonogin, Gold Coast
Snuggle scope: Super doper smoocher and snuggler
Cat scope: Takes a while for him to adjust to other cats. Best suited to a home with a small number of cats, or he would also be happy as a solo cat.
Dog scope: Fine with the small dog in the foster home
Child scope: Untested but would be fine in a home with older children
Medical note: Franklin came into care suffering from Nutritional secondary hyperaparathyroidism. Due to this condition he had suffered several breaks to his legs and hips that weren’t treated and had started to heal (but not in the correct position).

About:

Oh goodness where do we start with this young man….
Franklin was surrendered to a local vet and came into our care in January 2024. He was in a great deal of pain and couldn’t walk. Xrays showed his bones were translucent and like glass – the reason for this was due to lack of appropriate nutrition. He had multiple broken bones that had started healing in awkard position. Unfortunately surgery was not an option for him, so he went to a specialist carer and put on strict crate rest and high quality food to help the bones start healing.
After months of dedicated care and good quality food, his bone density is much improved and he is an active and healthy cat. Unfortunately the previous breaks have left him with some permanent deformities. His body looks a little different to most cats – he head is normal size, he has a broad chest (a bit like a muscly bull dog), but a skinny little butt – but we think he’s perfect. He doesn’t know that he’s different, and he simply loves life.
Frankie is pure joy. Despite his awful start to life, he is a happy little fellow and everyone that meets him falls head over heals in love with him. He can be a little tentative with new people, but this doesn’t last long and his love of humans beats any hesitation he has. He loves his carer, and his favourite place to sleep is on the bed cuddled up in her arms. He isn’t too fond of being picked up and carried for too long, but when you are sitting down or in bed he loves to snuggle with you
Frankie was likely not raised around other kittens, so when he first arrived he was very “bitey”, using his teeth and claws to play, which has earned the nick names “land shark”, and “baby shark”. His carer has worked on this a lot and he has improved immensely since he first arrived and he tends to lick more now, but when he gets excited the teeth come out… this is never meant maliciously, it’s just his form of playing. So his new family will need to continue teaching him if his teeth come out to play. Due to this he would most likely be suited to a home with older children, or children who understand that he’s just playing.
He takes about 3-4 weeks to adjust to new cats, but when he becomes friends he loves to play with them and do zoomies which is hilarious to watch. He’s not much of a climber – he will climb to the lower level of the cat tree, but no higher than that. He has a little step thing to help him get onto the bed.
Frankie needs to be kept on a good quality diet for the rest of his life, and it will also be important not to let him get overweight due to his deformed bones. He may have some issues with arthritis as he ages which will likely need injections for this, so this needs to be considered prior to adoption.
Frankie is simply the most beautiful, gentle and perfect little cat you will ever meet, and would make an amazing addition to a dedicated cat loving home.

Hartley – Male DMH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Hartley
DOB: 05/04/24
Gender: Male
Breed: DMH
Adoption Fee: $200
Location: Ipswich
Snuggle scope: Cautious, not a snuggler yet
Cat scope: Loves cats, would love a feline friend
Dog scope: Untested
Child scope: Untested

About:

Meet Hartley!
Hartley is a stunning grey kitten with charming white socks and a touch of fluff in his ears that hints at potential medium-length fur as he grows. He’s a beautiful boy with a gentle demeanour, but he’s come from a stressful, overcrowded rescue situation, which has made him a bit shy and prone to hiding.
Hartley is still adjusting to human contact and isn’t yet comfortable with being petted or held, so he’ll need a patient and loving home where he can feel safe and learn to trust people at his own pace. He thrives with other cats and would benefit greatly from having a feline companion in his new home to help him feel secure and show him the ropes.
If you’re ready to offer a nurturing environment and give Hartley the time he needs to come out of his shell, he’ll reward you with his sweet and loving nature as he begins to trust and bond with you.

Jameson – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Jameson
DOB: 03/04/2024
Gender: Male
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $200
Location: Carina Heights
Snuggle scope: Loves cuddles when he’s not busy playing
Cat scope: OK with correct introduction
Dog scope: Untested but should be OK with correct introduction
Child scope: Good with calm, gentle children

About:

This little tux had such a tough start to life but you wouldn’t know it. He has personality plus and is loved by everyone that meets him.
Jameson came into care after living rough. He was very underweight, with terrible cat flu so struggled to breathe and had such bad conjunctivitis that he had no vision. He had likely never seen a human but this didn’t stop him from being a complete snuggle monster. It also didn’t stop him from climbing & exploring either, even though he was so sick and had absolutely no energy.
He had eye surgery to correct his third eyelid which was stuck to his cornea, reflecting how long he had been unwell. The surgery was thankfully successful, showing his beautiful cheeky eyes, although a little of this third eyelid is visible in the corner of his eyes. This doesn’t impact him and we think it just adds to his charm.
Jameson has grown into a very confident, cheeky kitten that loves to climb, play, and chase his siblings. He loves food and is the first one looking for food and often the last one eating, particularly if his siblings don’t eat all of their meal. When he wants attention, he makes a cute ‘chirp’ and does love cuddles when there isn’t something more exciting to do like eat or play.

Rain – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: RAIN
DOB: 15/11/2023
Gender: Male
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $200
Location: Everton Park
Snuggle scope: Learning that laps are a nice place to be. Loves snuggling up next to his carer.
Cat scope: Will be ok eventually with calm cats with correct introductions.
Dog scope: Untested.
Child scope: Untested but should be OK with gentle, calm children – not suited to noisy homes

About:

Are you ready for absolute cuteness overload? Meet Rain. This little tiger literally grew his stripes back after being rescued from a dreadful situation regional Qld with his siblings. Rain came into care so skinny and terrified, with broken whiskers and barely any fur that resembled a tabby cat. He would flinch away from your hand if you went to pat him and would be terrified if you walked into the room with shoes on or looked down to him from a standing height. Rain has required a lot of TLC to reach the point where he feels safe, loved and free to be himself and it has been an absolute joy for his carer to which him grow back his beautiful stripes and blossom into the glorious orange tabby he is today.
Don’t let this little guy’s stature fool you, man has a serious set of lungs on him and has taken up his position as spokes-kitten for the kitteh committee at dinner time in his carer’s house. He’s learnt where the food comes from and will make sure he points it out to you as soon as its close to 5pm. We’re not sure if Rain will get any bigger but honestly he has so much adorable personality packed into his little body you almost don’t want him to grow up. He struts around the house like ‘I Just Can’t Wait to be King’ is playing in his head and has no clue that he’s smaller than feline siblings. His favourite toy is actually a dental bikkie, that he’ll bat and chase around the room for a while before chowing down. He loves a good zoomie with his feline housemates and some kitten play with his sister Regia. Rain is learning that lap cuddles are good, guided by his big sister Regia. He’s made it as far as snuggling next to his carer while she takes the lap.
Rain’s carer is going to have a hard time letting this little fella go but if you want a sweet little man who stares up at you with his big eyes, can get along with other loving kittehs and is coming along in leaps and bounds with his confidence, she might just let you take him home.

About:

Do you often just stare into the void? Well what if that void not only stared back at you but enjoyed lap cuddles, chin scritches and smooching around your ankles? Definitely an upgrade on the standard void! Meet Regia. Regia came into care from a regional Qld pound with her siblings, all in terrible condition and terrified. She was skinny, partially shaved after being treated for fleas and she had brown ‘fever coat’, a condition where black cats fur is brown due to malnutrition in Mum at birth. Since arriving with her carer she has blossomed into the most beautiful, sleek, jet black, sweetest little house panther there ever was. Although Regia is quiet aside from her cute little trills, she has always been the most confident of her siblings and even on her first day in care she climbed onto her carer’s lap for cuddles. Despite all that this little lady has been through, she still sought out love from her human and now routinely takes over the lap every morning while her carer has coffee.
Regia has a quirky little tail that sits off to the right, we think from either being broken in her very early life, or maybe like Lady Gaga she was just born this way. It causes her no issues and its still just as expressive as any other kitteh tail. Although she’s still quiet compared to her brother, she still loves to play with toys, participate in chasey and a bit of kitten rough and tumble. She’s always interested in whatever you’re doing and will trot over to you to see if she can supervise/help. She’s proven herself to be a wonderful work from home buddy, warming her carer’s lap and inspecting all the paperwork on the desk. Regia has no issues at all with other cats in her house and with slow and gentle introductions she could be a wonderful baby sister to any loving feline.
If you have room in your home and heart for this little lady she will reward you with unconditional love. Despite having such a rough start to life and being neglected by humans, her carer has shown her we aren’t all bad and there is so much joy to be had being a loved cat with a full belly in a safe and warm household.

Sully – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Sully
DOB : 9/11/23
Gender : Male
Breed: Domestic short hair
Adoption Fee: $200
Location: Redcliffe
Snuggle scope: Good
Cat scope: Good
Dog scope: Good with proper introductions
Child scope : Good

About:

Sully is a handsome tabby boy with gigantic paws! We suspect he may grow to take after his Monsters Inc namesake. He already shows some similar personality traits such as being brave and gentle.
Sully came into care with his brother Mike at around 12 weeks old. Their background is unknown, but Sully has settled well into a busy, multi-cat household and is learning how good life as a house cat can be. He especially loves a comfy cat bed and scratches under the chin!
While he loves his people, Sully is quite independent, so would be suitable for a busy working family. He would be happy to welcome you home with some loud purrs at the end of the day

Sunny – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Sunny
DOB: 29/03/2024
Gender: Male
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $00
Location: Carindale
Snuggle scope: very snuggly
Cat scope: great
Dog scope: good
Child scope: good

Medical note: Sunny has had an eye ulcer caused by cat flu. There is a possibility that an ulcer could reoccur during a flu flare up when stressed, which may require a course of antivirals and eye drops to manage. The vet also noticed he had a very small incipient cataract in his right eye, which doesn’t require treatment yet, but will need a recheck in a year (sept 2025)

About:

Meet Sunny, with a bright and friendly personality to match his name! His gorgeous amber eyes will zero in on you as he searches for his snuggles, but he doesn’t rely on his ‘kitten cat’ eyes to melt your heart, he’ll go straight for the head butt and snuggle in.
Hard to believe, but Sunny was once a shy mummy’s boy, until one day he realised people could also provide him with cuddles and attention – he quickly decided this was the best thing ever.
He loves to bounce and run around playing and wrestling with his friends, but once he settles down he needs his cuddles and kisses, and reassurance he’s mama’s bestest boy, right? He’ll even use his little voice to call out when he needs you and comes running when you call him. Sunny is happy to be cradled against your shoulder like the baby he believes himself to be, or curled up in your lap or next to you on the lounge or bed.
Sunny gets along great with all the other cats in his household, he loves to play chasey and wrestle with his friends and would like to snuggle with them if they’d let him. But he’s also polite and good at leaving alone the grumpy one/s. He’s happily living with a large dog, and while he’s only briefly met a few children, he has loved the activity and fun they can have together.
Sunny would love his very own mum (and/or dad), and would bring some warm cuddly sunshine into his new home.
