About:

Freya is a 1year old quite petite Siamese Mix with the most beautiful blue eyes and the cutest chocolate nose!

She can be a little unsure at first but with patience, understanding and a few yummy treats she’ll be your best friend!

Her name ‘Freya’ originates from Norse culture; Freya was the goddess of love, beauty, fertility, war and gold, this little Freya almost certainly possesses most of these qualities!

Freya came from a rural pound whereby she was taken regularly, but fortunately for Freya her owners didn’t come back to claim her this time so she is now at the start of her new life.

Freya is a people focused cat who loves nothing more to snuggle up with you on the bed after a hard days playing and sleeping, she does like to sleep with you on the bed but often will retreat to her own space under the bed at present.

Freya is learning what toys are and how much fun they can really be, it took a week or so to understand what to do, she just loves her cat teaser wand and the laser pointer, but also loves a good old scratch on her cardboard scratcher- she hasn’t shown much interest in the vertical scratcher as yet.

An inquisitive soul who is learning how great life can be, in her own time she loves to sit by the window watching the birds breathing in the fresh mountain air, but come evening time it’s play, play, play!

She is very settled in her room, but we’re working on building her confidence to step outside her safe room and explore a little more, she clearly needs a little more time. Freya has seen the resident cats, hissed a little but they haven’t met officially, but with the right introductions I’m confident they will be fine.

Freya isn’t a fan of being picked up as yet but we are working on that and hopefully in time she’ll be a bit more tolerant of it.

She certainly is making up for lost time with her appetite, she will eat both wet and dry food but does seem especially fond of wet food, Freya does have a sensitive stomach when it comes to supermarket bought food but on her Royal Canin she has been fine. Freya is currently eating Royal Canin Siamese and Royal Canin Hair and Skin wet food (gravy).

Freya hasn’t had a great start to her life, but with time, patience and oodles of love she will absolutely flourish and become the cat she was destined to be.
