Chuck – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Chuck
DOB: 15/09/2020
Gender: Male
Breed: Domestic short hair
Adoption Fee: $170
Location: Tambourine
Snuggle scope: On his terms
Cat scope: Good
Dog scope: Not tested
Child scope: Not tested

About:

Chuck came into care with his two brothers in November 2020 and was named due to his little white chin, which makes him look a little like a ventriloquist dummy. Since then, he has also enjoyed (or endured) nicknames such as Chuckles, Chuckleberry Finn and Chuck Berry from his carer. These are usually met with the look that only a good feline can give!
Chuck loves nothing more than spending time with his feline siblings and would love a home where he has a feline friend to smooch and play with. He is an independent young chap and will seek out his humans when he’s ready for some love and a play.
If you can offer a quiet home with patience, plenty of food and treats, you will be rewarded with a sweet natured, gentle boy who will lend you his ear for years to come.

Coal – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Coal
DOB : 25/9/23
Gender : Male
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Adoption Fee: $170
Location: Northgate
Snuggle scope: snuggly
Cat scope: Fine
Dog scope: Fine
Child scope: fine with gentle hands

About:

A beautiful black fuzzy house panther, go no further to find this gorgeous boy for you. He, like his brothers loves to chase the other kittens up the hallway or you find him monkeying up the cat tower. Along with his brothers Sebastian and Huxley he is the life of the party, if you would like to adopt 2 kittens, let Coal be one of your choices as it means it will be a good one. The scratch post is a favourite climbing apparatus and this playful kitty loves boxes and lying on top of his brothers in a kitten puddle He snuggles up with as many kittens as he can find in the smallest of spaces and is generally in the bottom of the kitten snuggle pile along with his brother Sebastian another house panther. Coal is completely black hence the name.
Coal gets along with his foster siblings the cats and the kittens and even his dog foster brother. He likes to snuggle in a fluffy cat bed even, actually especially if there is a kitten or two already in it. This little man manages to monkey up the bed and curl up next to you, making his presence known by meowing at you until you acknowledge his existence on the bed, or in the kitchen or bathroom……wherever he is he announces his arrival.
He has a big purr and like most kittens loves his own voice.
Coal would make great addition to any family dynamic whether to complete any family either looking for their first kitty or extending their kitty family. He’s such a playful little boy and gives everyone cuddles.
Coal is looking forward to moving to his forever home when his vet work is complete and you certainly won’t be sorry if you take him home.

Colby – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Colby
DOB: 02/01/2020
Gender: Male
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Adoption fee: $170
Location: Bracken Ridge
Snuggle scope: Not convinced about human contact, but is learning
Cat scope: Great with other cats – loves to play
Dog scope: Not phased about the small dog in foster care
Child scope: Untested. But due to timid nature would not suit a home with small kids

About:

Colby came into care as an unsocialised kitten who had zero trust in humans. He has been a work in progress and he is learning that humans mean him no harm, but he needs a human who can see his potential and is happy to keep working with him to gain his trust.
Colby is still fearful of “the approach”, and will mostly run when you try to approach him. At time when he is asleep you can approach and pat him and he will purr and loves the pats, but the smallest noise will send him running to hide.
Colby LOVES other cats, and needs a home where there is a confident social cat that he can take social cues from.

Child scope: Untested with young children but he is good with teens and adults.

About:

Drake took awhile to warm to humans but now that he knows humans only want to shower him with love and pats he can’t get enough snuggles and attention!
Drake is a gorgeous tabby with very fine features (he’s really very petite) and his little face is so sweet it will melt your heart.
He is a bit of a character, keeping watch over the household and always looking for opportunities to get involved with the daily chores, he will follow you from one room to the next while you wander about. He now comes when he is called as he knows the reward is a big snuggle and a good chin rub.

He will make a wonderful companion to anyone as once he is familiar with new people he is very easy going. He’s not currently a lap cat but we do see potential for him to become one as he now enjoys laying on the bed with you as he knows he gets lots of pats if he lays beside you. We encourage you to meet Drake and see for yourself just how lovely he is, he may not be your best friend in 5 minutes but give him 5 hours and he’s all yours!

Dublin – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Dublin
DOB : 03/02/2022
Gender : Male
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $170
Location: Taigum
Snuggle scope: loves a good snuggle
Cat scope: adores nearly every cat in the world
Dog scope: untested
Child scope : older children or very cat savvy kids

About:

Medical note: Dublin has successfully beaten FIP, however has some deficits.

Despite his valiant attempts to use the litter tray, he does have some incontinence issues.
There is so much to say about Dublin, that it is hard to put into words. This absolute sweet boy has had many challenges thrown his way since arriving into care in very poor condition.
Yet what stands out about Dublin is his beautiful and funny quirks. He has so much love to give and will often come and cuddle up on a lap, or spend time watching his carers earn money to buy him some lovely food. Speaking of food – this is Dublins FAVOURITE thing! He has zero manners and will do anything to get a bit of what you are eating.
He loves other cats, so much so he earned the nickname “Pappa Dubs” as would help look after the kittens in his foster home. He is shy at first in regard to new people, but once you know this sweet boy he will be an amazing companion.

Errol – Male DMH

Adoption Profile:
Name: Errol
DOB : 28/02/2023
Gender : Male
Breed: DMH
Adoption Fee: $170
Location: Murarrie
Snuggle scope: very curious about pats and will accept chin scratches sometimes. Likes to hold hands but still quite wary of being touched.
Cat scope: Adores his brother Turnip but is very wary of other cats.
Dog scope: Untested but unlikely to suit.
Child scope : Untested but will not suit household with young children.

About:

Errol is a goofy chap, shy at first but once he trusts you his funny, curious little personality shines! He and his brother Turnip had a rough start at life until they came into care with BFF at about 5 months old. Initially, he was very scared of humans but slowly he’s come to trust his foster family and they have been delighted to watch him come out of his shell. He loves a good game and will use his expressive big eyes to let his foster mum know he would like her to play with him or nudge the wand toy towards her. He will lose himself in the game and it’s been a fantastic way to build trust. He also loves playing with his toys or batting a ball around with Turnip. He also loves a good wrestle with his brother and a game of chase.
Errol loves to climb up and down his cat tree and he will usually take up residence at the very top to supervise his foster mum as she works from home. He is very curious about people and will often come sit beside you and tap your hand with his own paw. He’s started very seriously considering sitting on his foster mum’s lap recently which is incredible progress. Given how far he has progressed it would be fantastic for him to be able to continue his healing journey in his forever home with his forever family. Errol needs someone who understands cats, that will take the time to invest in helping him overcome his fear and be patient as they slowly build his trust. He would be happiest if he could continue to live with his brother as they are the best of friends. He has already made so much progress in such a short time and he will only to continue to blossom into his true happy goofy self in the right home.

Evie – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Evie
DOB: 28/10/2018
Gender: Female
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Adoption Fee: $170
Location: Kallangur
Snuggle scope: Loves to be patted and fussed over
Cat scope: Tolerates other cats but prefers being solo
Dog scope: Fine to exist around dogs but doesn’t like being approached by them
Child scope: Fine with gentle children
MEDICAL NOTE: Evie struggles with inappropriate toileting, she’s been thoroughly assessed by our vets and they have determined it’s an anxiety issue.

About:

Evie is on the look out for her very own special someone.
And a very special person they need to be.
Evie has anxiety and behavioural issues which cause her to toilet inappropriately, this tends to manifest in two ways:
1. She will hold onto her bladder until she can no longer control it and will urinate where she’s lying.
2. She will pick a spot on the floor and will toilet there repeatedly.
We’ve trialled Evie with a few different medications and we’ve found when she’s medicated she’s more prone to number 1, and when she’s not medicated she’s more prone to number 2.
There’s a few ways this can be managed:
– Have a bedroom or pen Evie can be confined to when you first bring her home, when she has no other option of where to go she will use her litter tray. She can be gradually introduced to the rest of the house but this process can’t be rushed.
– Absolutely no carpet in your home.
– If she’s been sleeping on your bed for quite a long time (4 hours or more) pick her up and take her to her litter tray so she’s reminded to use it.
– No sharing litter trays, if another cat has used the litter tray she won’t use it.
– Being prepared to put a litter tray where she decides to toilet. For example, if she decides to toilet underneath your dining room table the best approach is to put a litter tray there.
– Love and patience. This is something that will need to be managed for the rest of her life and her new family must be 100% committed to it.
Whoever adopts Evie will be rewarded with such a sweet, delightful girl. She’s so friendly and chatty. She will follow you all around the house demanding your attention and your love, and she purrs her head off when you pat her.
She does shed quite a lot of hair so will need regular brushing.
She’s very inquisitive and loves to explore the house and see what everyone is up to. If there’s a closed door anywhere you’ll find Evie waiting on the other side!

Faith – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Faith
DOB : 02/07/2022
Gender : Female
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $170
Location: Redcliffe
Snuggle scope: Loves a cuddle
Cat scope: Good with correct introductions
Dog scope: Untested
Child scope : Great with gentle hands

Medical note: Faith is currently being treated for Cryptococcus (a fungal infection), which presented as a bump near her nose. This presents no threat to other cats, and once her tests show she is clear she can cease medication. We will consider a foster-to-adopt scenario for Faith while she continues her treatment.

About:

Faith is the biggest sweetheart of a cat and just loves being amongst people. We are unsure if she is trying to be the next Masterchef contestant, or just loves the kitchen because that’s where the food comes from, but if as much as glance at the kitchen she will run and wait.
Her other most favourite thing is toys! She will carry various toys around, meowing away happily, presenting them to her foster carers or leaving them scattered around the house. She will then wait until they are all cleaned up and put away in the toy box, and will start the process all over again.

Freya- Female Siamese Cross

Adoption Profile:

Name: Freya
DOB: 04/12/2023
Gender: Female
Breed: Siamese cross
Adoption Fee: $170
Location: Clear Mountain
Snuggle scope: Not keen on being picked up but loves to lie beside you receive chin rubs
Cat scope:  A little timid, has seen the resident cats but not met them as yet
Dog scope: Untested
Child scope: Untested
Vet work: 1st vaccination done
Date expected to leave care: Mid January 2025

About:

Freya is a 1year old quite petite Siamese Mix with the most beautiful blue eyes and the cutest chocolate nose!

She can be a little unsure at first but with patience, understanding and a few yummy treats she’ll be your best friend!

Her name ‘Freya’ originates from Norse culture; Freya was the goddess of love, beauty, fertility, war and gold, this little Freya almost certainly possesses most of these qualities!

Freya came from a rural pound whereby she was taken regularly, but fortunately for Freya her owners didn’t come back to claim her this time so she is now at the start of her new life.

Freya is a people focused cat who loves nothing more to snuggle up with you on the bed after a hard days playing and sleeping, she does like to sleep with you on the bed but often will retreat to her own space under the bed at present.

Freya is learning what toys are and how much fun they can really be, it took a week or so to understand what to do, she just loves her cat teaser wand and the laser pointer, but also loves a good old scratch on her cardboard scratcher- she hasn’t shown much interest in the vertical scratcher as yet.

An inquisitive soul who is learning how great life can be, in her own time she loves to sit by the window watching the birds breathing in the fresh mountain air, but come evening time it’s play, play, play!

She is very settled in her room, but we’re working on building her confidence to step outside her safe room and explore a little more, she clearly needs a little more time. Freya has seen the resident cats, hissed a little but they haven’t met officially, but with the right introductions I’m confident they will be fine.

Freya isn’t a fan of being picked up as yet but we are working on that and hopefully in time she’ll be a bit more tolerant of it.

She certainly is making up for lost time with her appetite, she will eat both wet and dry food but does seem especially fond of wet food, Freya does have a sensitive stomach when it comes to supermarket bought food but on her Royal Canin she has been fine. Freya is currently eating Royal Canin Siamese and Royal Canin Hair and Skin wet food (gravy).

Freya hasn’t had a great start to her life, but with time, patience and oodles of love she will absolutely flourish and become the cat she was destined to be.

Gilmore – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Gilmore
Age: 11/09/2020
Gender: Male
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $170
Location: Cashmere
Snuggle scope: Likes a cuddle on his terms
Cat scope: Good with other cats
Dog scope: Is okay with the resident dogs
Child scope: Suited to older children because he can play roug

About:

Gilmore is a very handsome young man and a real character. He has his mad minutes where he will fly through the house making chirping noises. He loves his foster sister, and can play a little rough with her, but she does hold her own with him.
Gilmore’s favourite past time is bird watching from the cat tower that is up against the windows of the lounge room. He sits on the top of the tower, making those weird noises at them while they happily eat the seed, we put out for them. When I’m cooking pasta, he will sit at the stove and wait for it to cook, then when I drain it, he is pawing at my leg to give him some. He prefers the long spaghetti type, which I always cook for him, and when I give him the pasta, he will throw it around the room and chase after it, it’s so amusing to watch.
Gilmore is quite timid and will hide when someone new comes into the house. But if we ignore him, he will eventually show his face, but will still be a little weary. Once he is comfortable with you, he will snuggle up next to you on the lounge chair or snuggle into your back when it’s bedtime. Gilmore sleeps the day away curled up on the bed with his head on my pillow.
Gilmore is an absolute sweetheart, with a lot of energy and loves his food. If you are doing something, he needs to be right there with you offering his assistance. Gilmore loves to help with the chores, he will help mop the floor by chasing the mop and skidding on the wet floor and he absolutely loves to help make the bed, I’m not quite sure how helpful he really is but he does make it a lot of fun.
This little man is pure love and entertainment and would make a wonderful addition to any home. Gilmore would be okay with another cat that has some sass and energy or he would be fine on his own.

Hadley – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Hadley
DOB: 30/10/2021
Gender: Female
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $170
Location: Ashgrove
Snuggle scope: On her own terms
Cat scope: Excellent with all cats
Dog scope: Untested
Child scope: Teens and older

About:

Sugar and spice and all things nice, that’s what this kitty is made of! Hadley is an intriguing combination of cute, curious, and sassy, and is just the kitty to keep you on your toes! This little miss came into care as a completely unsocialised kitten, and has had quite the journey from a tiny, hissing fluffball to a young cat who’s very much learnt to appreciate the comforts of a home environment. To the uninitiated, Hadley may still present as a scaredy cat, however her foster carer can confidently reassure you that Hadley’s skill with delivering stank eye, the cold shoulder, or vacating a room is more about “teenage” angst than about fear these days!
Hadley is quite the character: she will be your best friend at meal times, and is legendary for her periscope paw that comes snaking up over the bench to try to steal the first tasty morsels! She also has an insatiable sweet tooth, so fair warning to guard your biscuit stash! She is endlessly inquisitive, and her curiosity tends to triumph over any lingering anxiousness, so you’ll often find her sticky-beaking at windows and doors, or perched high at the best vantage point keeping tabs on all the neighbourhood activities! She adores time spent in the catio and secure outdoor cat enclosure, where her sentry skills are at their peak!
Hadley’s temperament is mercurial, but not in an aggressive way – one moment she’ll be rolling around on the floor, exposing her racing-stripe white belly whilst asking for chin scratches and purring like a freight train, and the next she’ll be refusing to acknowledge your very existence, or giving you the silent treatment because you dared to pat her without invitation! Never fear, we are confident that this is a teenage phase, and comes down to Hadley firmly believing that life should be lived purely on her terms, and that no idea is a good one unless she initiates it! Although extremely strong-willed, she continues to progress well on her journey to trusting that humans actually aren’t all scary, and is at the stage where she desperately wants pats, but stubbornly refuses to appear as though she wants them!! Hadley recently had a major breakthrough and is now asking for physical interactions multiple times a day…..the catch being that her human slave must instantly obey, stroke and scratch intensively for at least 10 mins, and accept that at any moment Hadley may decide she’s done with you and sashay off as though nothing has happened!
Hadley’s wish is for a patient, special family who is savvy with cats, and she would especially love a feline friend in her new home. Hadley responds well to situations where she can observe positive interactions with other cat/s in the household, and surreptitiously insert herself into the situation – this is perfect to help her build trust. She is playful (but not in an overbearing way), respects her place in the pecking order, and mixes well with both the adult cats and foster kittens in her current foster home. She’s yet to reach the snuggling stage, but with time, love, and perseverance, there’s a good chance she’ll cave eventually! Currently she’ll deign to sit close to her foster carer on the couch or sneak up on her carer’s bed when she thinks everyone is asleep, both of which are definitely positive signs! Hadley would feel most comfortable in a calm, quieter home with older teens and/or adults.
Hadley is a petite, very pretty, hilarious little girl who certainly keeps life interesting….she definitely makes you work for it, but that’s what makes the bonding moments with her all the more rewarding. So if you’re up for personality plus and an entertaining battle of wills to give you those warm and fuzzies, please reach out to request a meet with this cheeky little dynamo!

She has beautiful markings and wins over visitors with her pretty features and friendly nature. Halsey is a quick learner and picks up new routines and games easily. Relaxed day times in a cosy space and evening zoomies before bed are her favourite. She’d be a great addition to almost any home once she settles in. Halsey is a sensitive soul, not a fan of noisy environments or other cats. In her perfect home, she would be the solo diva. Originally adopted from BFF as a kitten, through no fault of her own, she has found herself back in our care looking for a new family.

Harper – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:
Name: Harper
DOB: 30/10/21
Gender: Female
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Adoption Fee: $170
Location: Alderley
Snuggle scope: likes to make the decision, yes, no, maybe, I don’t know.
Cat scope: Good with small, relaxed cats, gets upset with cats that are too in your face
Dog scope: wouldn’t suit dog home, prefers calm and quiet.
Child scope: Untested but should be good with older gentle children
MEDICAL NOTE:
Harper has what we call kitty IBS – she is on a full-time diet of Gastrointestinal food to ensure balance for her stomach. Varying from this diet can cause an upset tummy and upset behaviours.

About:
Harper is a funny little girl, she is sweet as pie & very quirky, affectionally known as puppy cat, she takes on the position of always knowing who is at her house, and stalks them through the windows as they leave. When her foster family approaches to give her some love, she will do one of two things:
1. Happily flop and roll over onto her back to get belly rubs
2. RUN It’s unclear what she’s thinking in that little head of hers, but it sure makes for some funny happenings around the house. Never one to sit still, she loves to play with toys and her brother, but also enjoys a cuddle on the couch until she’s decided she wants to do something else! She will chirp when you talk to her and also growl when she can hear someone coming but can’t see them. She’s never been aggressive, she’s just a bit of a firecracker once her confidence is up. She will take a few days to fully come out of her shell, and can be a bit skittish with sudden movements and loud noises, but when she is comfortable, she is a real treat.
If you are looking for a quirky kitty full of character, Harper is your girl!>To arrange a meet to see if this could be your perfect match, please submit our meet’n’greet form

Honey – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Honey
DOB : 06/10/22
Gender : Female
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Adoption Fee: $170
Location: Caboolture
Snuggle scope: Good with pats and short cuddles, doesn’t like to be alone
Cat scope: Good with other cats
Dog scope: Good with dogs
Child scope : Great with everyone

About:

Miss Honey is a lively, intelligent girl with a zest for life. She has serious FOMO (fear of missing out) and will cry piteously if she can see people having fun without her. She is bright, confident, and adjusted well to a huge change when she came into care. She is quite independent in between cuddles, she will often run off and play, yelling ‘Look at me Mum, Dad, everyone!’.
We found that once Honey settled into our home, she maintained her love of attention and snuggles but was more able to sit still for them. Honey has a cat foster mum in Caulifla who has made the transition easier by cleaning her up and playing with her when she was unsure. Truly a very sweet girl, with a lot of growing still to do.

Jackie – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Jackie
DOB: 03/12/2020
Gender: Female
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Adoption Fee: $170
Location: Kallangur
Snuggle scope: Super smoochy
Cat scope: Solo diva, doesn’t like other cats
Dog scope: Doesn’t like dogs and will scratch if approached by one
Child scope: Excellent with children

About:

Jackie came into care after finding herself homeless with 8 babies. She was extremely underweight and struggling to nurse such a large litter. 5 of her babies required medical intervention so went to one of our dedicated neonate carers for specialised care.
Jackie did an amazing job raising her other 3 babies and they’ve all been adopted into loving forever homes.
She is the smoochiest, friendliest cat you’ll ever meet. She will follow you around the house weaving in and out of your feet and rubbing against your legs. As soon as you sit down she’s in your lap. Of a night time she will curl up on your shoulder and purr her head off.
Jackie isn’t a fan of other cats and would be happier being a solo diva. She’s absolutely perfect with humans though and wants to be best friends with everyone she meets, and she loves children.
She really is a delightful little girl.
