Miley – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Miley
DOB: 26/12/2022
Gender: Female
Breed: Domestic short hair
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Caboolture South
Snuggle scope: 8/10 snuggler
Cat scope: Hasn’t properly met other feline friends yet beside her siblings
Dog scope: Is curious with a Shih Tzu, not super confident yet
Child scope : Super friendly, loves to snuggle and play

About:

While this little Miley can’t quite buy her own flowers, she loves to play/dance with her siblings. With her Snow White paws and tabby markings make her a seriously stunning little kitty, but beware, butter doesn’t melt in her mouth. Behind her beauty is serious spunk, she loves maxi skirts and ankle tapping, 10/10 loves to play and chase toys. She has a tomboy energy, has grown so much in the snuggle department over the last three months. Plus she is so much fun.
Miley would be a good addition to a family home where she can have a balance of playtime and affection, she thrives off enrichment and stimulation and also would benefit from a bit of quiet snuggle time. Miley loves jumping on your shoulders if you’re crouching down, giving you gentle love bites and nuzzling into your hair, all while purring deeply into your ear. Given how much she loves her foster sibling Willow the rescue pup, Miley should adapt well to existing fur kids on the house with a slow and gentle approach. She prefers to chow down on her crunchies all day over wet food, and loves to nap in a destination as high as she can climb up to!

Mouse – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Mouse
DOB: 03/05/2020
Gender: Female
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Gordon Park
Snuggle Scope: Takes time to trust her humans
Cat Scope: Mouse would love a cat friend
Dog Scope: Okay with small dogs with proper introduction
Child Scope: Untested, but better suited to older and gentle children

About:

Miss Mouse has been in foster care since she was a shy, timid kitten. She has the most beautiful, inquisitive green eyes and soft white and grey fur.

When we first met her, she would cower in a corner and did not trust humans at all. With months of patience and love, Miss Mouse slowly came out of her shell and over the years has come to love her foster mums!

Although she has made significant progress socialising, she is not a lap cat. She has however found her confidence and will enjoy pats and attention once she is used to her human!

She enjoys sleeping within your eyesight, and will even snuggle at the end of your bed while you sleep.

Mouse is very much friends with one of her cat housemates, and having him around builds her confidence. We therefore think it’s important that Mousey has a confident cat friend she can be brave with.

Mouse is also quite food orientated (… you can tell!) and having some tasty treats on hand will help her build trust.

Miss Mouse is looking for a special human with time and patience, who will work slowly and gently to gain her trust. Her ideal home will have a human home a lot for company, another feline friend to show her the ropes and no scary little kids to frighten her.

If you’d like to arrange to meet Miss Mouse or would like further information, please submit a meet and greet form – meet’n’greet form

Nacho – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Nacho
DOB : 18/03/2023
Gender : Female
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Wavell Heights
Snuggle scope: Learning to enjoy the snuggles
Cat scope: Loves other cats
Dog scope: Untested but should be ok with careful introduction
Child scope : Older calm children 10+
Medical Note:
Nacho came in with severe gum infection affecting her teeth, with this her teeth were all removed, so she is a gummy girl, but hasn’t affected her eating habits.

About:

Little Miss Curiosity loves to follow her foster careers everywhere, checking out what they are up to. Nacho needs to be sure she is not missing out on any fun!

She loves to play, chasing her favourite balls and toy fish around.

When Nacho is done exploring and playing, she will curl up somewhere close by, next to her foster careers on the couch or near their feet.

Nacho currently lives with older children and loves to be carried around and play but finds little humans a little too unpredictable. She would be best suited to a household with older children.

Nacho loves the other cats she lives with and would love another friend to play with but would also be happy as an only cat where she gets all the attention.

Nacho arrived in care with a sore mouth but with love from our caring vets, she has had a full tooth extraction and has never been happier. No teeth does not hold her back, in fact you wouldn’t know unless you looked in her mouth.

Oliver – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Oliver
DOB : 30/06/2021
Gender : Male
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Arana Hills
Snuggle scope: Still learning about cuddles
Cat scope: Single cat household for this Prince
Dog scope: Fine with correct introductions
Child scope : Fine with gentle older children

About:

Meet Oliver (or Ollie as he’s affectionately known)

Oliver started his foster journey as a terrified kitty, but over the past few years, he’s blossomed into a loving and devoted feline friend, ready to find his forever home. At first he may be shy and retiring, but beneath that initial reserve, Oliver has a heart full of love to give.

Oliver will likely prefer to suss you and the household out from a safe hidey hole for the first few weeks until he feels safe enough to slowly explore at his own pace. He would do best in a home with a patient owner who is willing to take the time to get to know him and earn his trust. Although it will take some time for Ollie to warm up to you, once he gets to know you and you’ve won his heart and trust, he will show you all of his affection, chatting and rubbing around you and hanging out wherever you are – working, the couch, the shower! He’s worked out how to open every sliding door in the house so nothing will keep him from you. He’ll jump up on the bed at night for a snuggle or curl up with you on the couch. And he does like to give loving little head butts.

Oliver would thrive in a home where he can be the king of the castle. He’s rather dominant around other cats, so a single-cat household is ideal, ensuring he gets all the love and attention he deserves.

With gorgeous markings and a truly spectacular tail that he likes to carry proudly, he really is a handsome lad. Equally gorgeous on the inside, even from his most scaredy-cat beginnings, Ollie has never once lashed out with his claws or teeth and doesn’t have a mean bone in his body.

He’s lived with teens and kids and he’s fine with them if they’re calm and patient and are prepared to interact with him on his terms and not try to pick him up. He also lives happily with a large dog in his foster home.

Please keep in mind that Oliver is shy at first and will require patience, love, and understanding for his true loving nature to shine. If you’re looking for a companion that will be loving and loyal once you’ve earned his trust, then Oliver is the cat for you!

Gender: Female
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Kallangur
Snuggle scope: Super smoochy and affectionate.
Cat scope: Fine with correct introductions, can be a bit bossy.
Dog scope: Fine with calm, quiet dogs. Not a fan of loud, boisterous dogs.
Child scope: Has lived with children previously.

About:

Ophelia is a darling girl that will win your heart with her beautiful eyes and affectionate smooches.

While she’s a little shy to start with, it doesn’t take her long to discover her confidence. She loves being fussed over and will follow you around and headbutt you when she wants your attention.

Ophelia is also a very chatty girl and loves to meow at you and will even call for you if she finds something out of place in the home.

She eats well and is very tidy with her litter tray, though she does shed a lot of hair so she would benefit from daily brushing.

Ophelia would settle well into almost any home. While she is accustomed to other pets in her foster home, she’d also be just as happy as a solo pet. As long as there are people to adore her she will have all she needs.

Oriana – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Oriana
DOB: 8/5/2021
Gender: Female
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Carindale
Snuggle scope: super cuddly
Cat scope: testing, so far not a fan
Dog scope: testing, so far does NOT like dogs.
Child scope: untested, would be good with gentle hands

About:

Oriana, meaning dawn, golden, is a beautiful sunny girl who is always happy to see you, often trilling or giving little chirps in greeting and asking for pats and snuggles. She adores head rubs and smooshing her face along you, your hand, or even your face in greeting, where ever she can reach to snuggle. Oriana often doesn’t mind being scooped up and held for a cuddle, and will often be a ‘loosey goosey’ ‘limp noodle’, relaxed in your arms, purring away. But will give a little wriggle or stretch when she wants down or isn’t in the mood for a pick up snuggle. Only a few years old, Oriana is still half a kitten at heart, and is often up for a came with the toy on the end of a string, she’ll jump and bat at it and is pretty good at catching it, she thinks.
Oriana came into care pregnant, and has been a great mama to her little girl group, but it’s now time for her to find her very own home.
As her bubs have weaned, she’s starting to be introduced to the other cats in her foster home and the resident large dog. She doesn’t mind the smell of them at all – happy to snuggle in the dog’s bed even! – but has not been happy at all when seeing the dog, and not too happy seeing the other cats. We’ll continue with slow introductions and working on making friends, but so far a home without other pets might be best – so she can get all your love and attention!

Paris – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Paris
DOB : 30/01/2022
Gender : Female
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Deception Bay
Snuggle scope: Affectionate lady but also independent.
Cat scope: Lives in a multi cat house hold and is fine with all cats.
Dog scope: Fine with large dogs through a screen door, and good with a mini foxie inside.
Child scope : Would suit a home with older children.

About:

Medical note: Paris has been treated for FIP and has made a full recovery .

Paris is finally ready to start searching for her forever family after coming across multiple hurdles since joining rescue. Paris came from a less than ideal hoarding situation, and was in very poor condition when she entered rescue. She then became unwell and was diagnosed with neurological FIP (Feline Infections Peritonitis). For months Paris was treated for this and went into remission at the end of her treatment. Sadly shortly after this she relapsed and had to be treated a second time for the FIP. Paris was cleared for remission again in 07/2023 and was finally able to start her routine vetwork (desexing and vaccinations) whilst she stayed in foster care for another several months of monitoring.
Paris has now been cleared for adoption, and is ready to find herself a forever family.
Paris is a sweet natured girl who is affectionate and loving, but also enjoys her own relaxation time. She spends most of her day sleeping in her outdoor enclosure, and runs straight inside when she hears that it is time for her dinner. She would suit a relaxed home who is looking for a cat to snooze and watch a movie with you, she’s the perfect relaxed companion cat! Paris would be suitable in a home with older teenage children who understood that she isn’t a cat who wants to run around playing with toys or be picked up and carried around. She would love a comfy spot on the end of your bed where the chin tickles are flowing.
Paris lives in a multi cat household and is perfectly fine with her foster friends. She will occasionally wrestle with her younger, more silly friends, however she normally spends most of her time just laying near the other cats for company.
Paris prefers dry food, especially the big dental biscuits, and hopes her new family can follow on with her love of her dental biscuits.

Paulie – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:
Name: Paulie
DOB: 14/11/22
Gender: Male
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Holland Park West
Snuggle scope: Timid at first, loving when settled
Cat scope: Friendly and loves their company
Dog scope: Good with correct introductions
Child scope: Good with older, quiet children

About:

Paulie had an awful start to life as an unsocialised kitten, and was in a very bad way when found. He battled with nasty eye infections and flu for weeks before we got on top of it. He has an existing injury to his left eye which has left a scar – he doesn’t need any further treatment for this eye, but it does make it look a little different.
Paulie is very shy with people he hasn’t met before and it does take a little while to earn his trust. He puts on a tough guy act at first, but once he gets to know you, he loves to walk around exploring the house and chirping at you. He is extremely affectionate & simply loves to cuddle up in your lap in the mornings and at night.
Paulie loves other cats and will appreciate their company, and he will warm up to cat-friendly dogs of all sizes once he has settled in. In fact, he can often be found snoozing with his carer’s dog on their favourite lounge. In saying this, Paulie would also be fine as a solo cat.
He’s a very sweet boy who would just love a quiet home with a nice big window to gaze out of, and just needs a little time with patient people. Paulie will make the perfect addition to your home once he finds the right person to take a chance on him.

Peyton- Male Ragdoll

Adoption Profile:

Name: Peyton
DOB: 9/2/10
Gender: Male
Breed: Ragdoll
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Greenslopes
Snuggle scope: Ok on his terms, usually curls up to you when in bed. He allows to be picked up and cuddled though
Cat scope: Has lived with multiple cats in the past but given age and health conditions now needs his own space
Dog Scope: Untested
Child Scope: Untested but recommended kids over 12
Vet work: Completed
Ready to leave care: Now

Medical note- Peyton came into care with Best Friends Felines in February 2023. At the time he entered care he had severe gingivostomatitis which means his immune system was having a reaction to his teeth. This results in significant ulceration of the mouth and back of the throat.

Because of this condition he had all his teeth extracted. There still is a little bit of inflammation in his mouth but it doesn’t seem to bother him. In October of 2024 he was diagnosed with IBD (Irritable Bowel Disease) which is managed with daily medication. Peyton was also born deaf which comes with some difficulties.

About:

Peyton came into our care along with several other Ragdolls from an urgent care situation up north.

He was quite underweight and sickly looking as his mouth was so sore he wasn’t able to eat properly. His paws were brown from constantly pawing at his mouth and it looked like he hadn’t groomed himself in years. He had a condition called gingivostomatitis which was resolved by removing all of his infected teeth. He is now sitting at a good weight with a luscious, healthy coat which he grooms from time to time.

Despite his age he likes to play with cat wands and laser toys, thinks boxes are fun and has the occasional zoomies. He also loves to follow you from room to room, especially when it’s getting close to dinner time. He is a food motivated cat so will want you to share your dinner with him, especially if it’s chicken nuggets, his fave!

He is a very outgoing boy who will greet all visitors at the door and is open to a pat on his terms. Given that he was born deaf, he reacts a little bit differently than other cats so his owners will need time to get to know his behaviours and what he does or doesn’t like. He does take a couple days to get used to new environments and may seem spooked by objects and shadows as he navigates his surroundings.

He does have a spunky Ragdoll attitude and needs someone willing to look past his differences and be patient with him as his history with humans hasn’t been a kind one.

His purrs are heard throughout the whole house which go even louder when you’ve got food in your hand, it’s dinner time or he’s enjoying a really good pat. You will also hear grumbles from him while he’s eating if he is really enjoying the food.

Of a morning, if you aren’t up before him he will stand there staring at you, purring away until you awake from your slumber.

He does require regular grooming as he prefers not to do it himself and this does come with a bit of a challenge as he had never been groomed in the past. He does however tolerate his nails being trimmed which is also done regularly so that he doesn’t hurt anyone when he is grumpy.

Everyday is a fun day with Peyton, he does some of the most random, cutest things that you don’t expect. Everyone that meets him falls in love with his quirky personality even though he’s been known not to charm anyone.

If you want to spend your days with a smile on your face and believe this gorgeous blue eyed beauty is the right man for your household fill in the form below.

Philomena – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:
Name: Philomena
DOB : 21/5/23
Gender : Female
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Cleveland
Snuggle scope: Very cuddly
Cat scope: cat friendly
Dog scope: Fine with the dog in her foster home
Child scope : not tested but will be fine with gentle introductions.
Medical note – Philomena arrived into care with severe flu. She is healthy now, but one of her eyes often weeps, which just needs wiping to keep clean.
In December 2023 Philomena was diagnosed with Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP), which is a mutation caused by the feline coronavirus that most cats carry. She has treated for the disease and at the end of the course of treatment blood tests confirmed that she was clear of the disease.

About:

Philomena arrived into care with her sister Breanna in an awful state. She had such bad cat flu. One of her eyes was so cloudy we weren’t sure she would keep it, but she has recovered beautifully. She also came down with FIP but has successfully beaten that also and is now a beautiful healthy girl looking for her forever family.
Philly is an absolutely bundle of sweetness and love. She can be a little unsure of new people, but after a few hours she will be fine and will show you how much of a love bug she is. She loves to drop at your feet and roll onto her back so that you can tickle her belly while she purrs away contently.
She is the perfect mix of loving attention, but also being independent. She loves her humans, but is also happy to snooze the day away on one of her favourite sleeping spots. She gets on beautifully with other cats, and would be happy both by herself or with cat friends.
After such an awful start to her life Philly deserves a home that will love and adore her. Are you her forever human.

Placido is a handsome little guy who has just started to discover the fun you can have with toys and a great cat post to climb. He will often race his brothers to the top of the post where they will often end up snuggling up together.
Placido may look like a normal black kitten but has the most stunning tabby swirls through his coat that almost look brown in the right light.

Gender: Female
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Carina Heights
Snuggle scope: Loves a pat, cuddle or to sit on your lap

About:
Pogo is ever so entertaining. She loves to carry things around the house in her mouth (squawking the whole way), and even carries her cat wand around while her siblings and resident cat chase after her/it. She is the biggest of her siblings and loves to wrestle and chase them, but never gets too rough. She loves playing with lots of different toys and if another cat shows interest in one of her toys she will often just sit on it to claim it. While she loves to play, she will suddenly decide she’s had enough and will sneak onto your lap for pats and cuddles. Pogo is a lovely, quirky young girl and would love to offer lots of love and laughs to her forever family.

Poppy – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Poppy
DOB: 01/10/2021
Gender: Female
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Kallangur
Snuggle scope: Only if you like to live dangerously
Cat scope: Great with older, placid cats
Dog scope: Untested
Child scope: Not compatible
Vet work: Completed
Date expected to leave care: Now

About:

If you’re looking to adopt the cat equivalent of a hormonal teenager that only emerges from the shadows for meals, a cat that is low maintenance but also arguably low reward, then boy oh boy do we have the perfect match for you!

Poppy is the feline equivalent of a Calathea houseplant (IYKYK)—gorgeous but temperamental.

You can try everything to please her, but in the end, she just wants to live in your home rent-free while pretending you don’t. Poppy’s favourite things are food, not being touched by people, and affectionately rubbing against furniture while maintaining eye contact as if to say ‘these inanimate objects are more loveable than you’ll ever be’.

She also loves other placid, respectful cats, and happily smooches with the resident adult cats in her foster home so would do best with a compatible feline companion.

Poppy is not aggressive, she doesn’t attack and chooses flight over fight 100% of the time (relatable). She’s a world class hide and seek champion so would need a few safe spaces to retreat to in her forever home, however the dramatic hissing when you get too close tends to give her location away with adequate warning.

Poppy came into care as an unsocialised adult a few years ago, and while she has made some progress with patience, time and (unreciprocated) respect, she will need a quiet home with a cat savvy family who are willing to work with her and understand she may never be a lap cat. Poppy is a very happy girl when she feels safe and secure, and is getting used to playing and eating in front of her foster parents.

She’s also doing well with a consistent routine, coming out to greet her carer morning and night and no longer running when her bowl is placed down next to her. She will occasionally sleep on the opposite end of the couch during quiet times which is a new development, so we’re optimistic that for the right person Poppy will come to make a great housemate.

Raditz – Female DLH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Raditz
DOB: 02/09/2022
Gender: Female
Breed: DLH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Caboolture
Snuggle scope: All on her terms, affectionate but busy!
Cat scope: Would do well with another cat that can entertain her busy mind. Takes time to warm up but really loves company.
Dog scope: Untested
Child scope: Good with respectful kids, not a fan of being carried often, but loves to be near and play with children.

About:

Raditz is an energetic, intelligent and nimble cat, with a quiet personality. Raditz does best when the house is not too busy and loud. To be fair, Raditz deals well with other cats, lots of noise, and play, and children! However, when she feels overcrowded, Raditz likes to escape into rooms to be alone. It is important that any new family understands she copes best in a calmer environment, or at least with organised chaos.
Raditz loves to spend one-on-one time with family members, she is extremely playful and smart, and she loves enrichment activities. She likes to be involved in everything that we do. She is obviously wonderful with other cats, but does best with cats who just coexist, she doesn’t really want to play with them, though she will happily sleep with another quiet cat.
If you are looking for a best buddy, someone to brighten your days and keep you on your toes Raditz is the one for you.

Raven is a gorgeous 11 year old black girl. She came into care because she was left behind when her family moved away.

Poor Raven was very confused and quite grumpy at first but has settled into her foster home quite well.

Regia – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: REGIA
DOB: 15/11/2023
Gender: Female
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Everton Park
Snuggle scope: Loves to snuggle up on her human’s lap.
Cat scope: Will be fine with calm cats with correct introductions
Dog scope: Untested.
Child scope: Untested. Should be OK with children over 12 – not suited to noisy homes

About:

Do you often just stare into the void? Well what if that void not only stared back at you but enjoyed lap cuddles, chin scritches and smooching around your ankles? Definitely an upgrade on the standard void! Meet Regia. Regia came into care from a regional Qld pound with her siblings, all in terrible condition and terrified. She was skinny, partially shaved after being treated for fleas and she had brown ‘fever coat’, a condition where black cats fur is brown due to malnutrition in Mum at birth. Since arriving with her carer she has blossomed into the most beautiful, sleek, jet black, sweetest little house panther there ever was. Although Regia is quiet aside from her cute little trills, she has always been the most confident of her siblings and even on her first day in care she climbed onto her carer’s lap for cuddles. Despite all that this little lady has been through, she still sought out love from her human and now routinely takes over the lap every morning while her carer has coffee.
Regia has a quirky little tail that sits off to the right, we think from either being broken in her very early life, or maybe like Lady Gaga she was just born this way. It causes her no issues and its still just as expressive as any other kitteh tail. Although she’s still quiet compared to her brother, she still loves to play with toys, participate in chasey and a bit of kitten rough and tumble. She’s always interested in whatever you’re doing and will trot over to you to see if she can supervise/help. She’s proven herself to be a wonderful work from home buddy, warming her carer’s lap and inspecting all the paperwork on the desk. Regia has no issues at all with other cats in her house and with slow and gentle introductions she could be a wonderful baby sister to any loving feline.
If you have room in your home and heart for this little lady she will reward you with unconditional love. Despite having such a rough start to life and being neglected by humans, her carer has shown her we aren’t all bad and there is so much joy to be had being a loved cat with a full belly in a safe and warm household.

Reishi – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Reishi (pronounced Ray-Shee)
DOB: 19/05/2020
Gender: Female
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Manly West
Snuggle Scope: Enjoys head and body scratches
Cat Scope: Friendly with all cats after careful introduction
Dog Scope: Untested
Child Scope: Untested, better suited for quiet teens and above

About:

Reishi is a stunning girl, her black coat shines a red tinge in the sunlight and she has a little salt spray of odd white hairs all over.
Reishi is certainly a timid girl, she spooks easily so her meets might entail her hiding in her hammock while her carer tells you how great she is once she’s comfortable in her space!
This little lady doesn’t tend to approach for cuddles, but if she sees her cat siblings getting some love she will rush over and strut by slowly for a pat. Once you start patting, she will flop her beautiful self on the floor and roll around purring, loving it up until your arms are sore!
With careful introductions, Rei loves her feline siblings hard, smooches them, plays and cuddles up to them. She will certainly need a cat friend to give her confidence and have her beautiful little self blossom in your home.
