Remi – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Remi
DOB: 11/10/2019
Gender: Female
Breed: DSH
Adoption fee: $185
Location: Bonogin, Gold Coast
Snuggle Scope: Friendly but not super smoochy, but has a lot of potential. Does like to give your fingers licksi
Cat Scope: Fine with other cats
Dog Scope: She ignores the small (respectful) dog in her foster home. She would not be fond of a boisterous “in your face” dog
Child Scope: Untested but would be fine with gentle hands

About:

Full of potential and love to share.

Remi came to BFF with from a hoarding situation with another cat (Rayna) who is most likely her mother. She arrived heavily pregnant and gave birth just a few weeks after arriving into care. Her kittens were all adopted quickly, and now it’s time for Remi to find the “happily ever after” that she deserves.

Remi is currently living in a multi cat household and is not bothered by the other cats and the small dog in her foster home.

Remi can be a little shy when she first meets you as, but has really come along in leaps and bounds since she has been in care, and responds much better now to strangers.

Once she is comfortable with her human she will have wonderful little chats with you and if you are lucky she will reward you with some licks, which is her love language..

Remi is not fond of being picked up, but will happily come and sit beside you, and will wind herself through your legs as you are walking.

Although Remi has discovered the joy of playing, her favourite past-times would be eating and sleeping. She has become a little “chonky” since she has had unlimited access to food, so going forward she would benefit from dedicated meal times rather than grazing.

Remi has had a pretty miserable start to her life, and has been in care for a while now and is ready and waiting for her new family to find her

Remus – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Remus
DOB: 14/07/2022
Gender: Male
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Browns Plains
Snuggle scope: loves pats and cuddles
Cat scope: great, would be best suited with a friend
Dog scope: ok with large respectful dog
Child scope: suited to calm kids

About:

Remus is a gorgeous kitten that loves to stretch out and relax, but also curl up close to his friends – feline and human – for cuddles and naps.
Remy came into care as a scared little kitten, but toys and treats quickly had his interest and with a few other kittens showing him how great cuddles are he quickly started to reconsider whether people are scary or not. Now Remy is a little lovebug and loves to rub around your ankles as a greeting and join you on the lounge for a snuggle.
He’s a brave explorer and enthusiastic player with stick toys and lasers – but he needs help to not overdo the laser toy otherwise he’ll run and run.
Remy loves other cats, and immediately accepted some little brothers when introduced to other kittens. He’ll often be caught rubbing his head into and snuggling with the other kittens, so we think he’d do best with a feline sibling
As much of a brave, outgoing and cuddly boy Remy is with his carers, he is still often not too sure of strangers, so will likely want to hide during a meet. But don’t let that fool you, Remy is such an affectionate and attention seeking boy when given a little chance to get to know you.

Rosco – Male Burmese x DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Rosco
DOB: 16/03/2014
Gender: Male
Breed: Burmese x DSH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Bray Park
Snuggle scope: Very snuggly once settled, likes to sleep on your bed
Cat scope: Good with non-dominant cats
Dog scope: Not dog friendly
Child scope: Not suited to a home with young children
Vet work: Completed
Date expected to leave care: Now

About:

Rosco was surrendered into care through no fault of his own and has recently celebrated his 11th birthday!

This handsome gentleman was initially timid upon arrival to his foster home, but within days his sweet personality started to shine through. Rosco purrs like a V12 engine and will soak up all the love you can give – he gives the best head boops and enjoys pats all over, including his belly! He sleeps on his foster carer’s bed every night and makes for a wonderful partner in crime for a good old binge on Netflix.

Rosco is not phased by the resident cats in his foster home, but due to his sweet, gentle personality, he would be suited to a quiet home with non-dominant feline friends, or as the King of the Castle. This senior gent is more interested in naps and snacks, rather than the rough and tumble of young playful cats or young children – he is very settled with the high school students and young adults who share his foster home. Rosco is very scared of dogs, so a canine free forever home is a must.

He LOVES tuna, salmon and anything seafood related – especially creamy treats, Greenies and Temptations. You will hear a sweet little chirpy meow as he sits by his food bowl – almost summoning his guardian to top it up, please. When eating his favourite foods, Rosco will purr and purr and purr – quite a funny sound combined with the lapping of food and the crunching of bikkies and treats!

He will steal your heart, this lovely man is a total sweetheart who would make a perfect work from home companion cat or best friend during his retirement years.

DOB: 01/07/2019
Sex: Female
Breed: DSH
Location: Loganholme
Adoption fee: $185
Snuggle scope: Very snuggly once she trusts you
Cat scope: Very cat friendly
Dog scope: Not tested – not recommended
Kid scope: Good with respectful children
Vet work: Completed
Booster Due: 19/08/2025

About:

Meet Rose! She’s a super sweet 5-year-old kitty with the softest, fluffiest fur you’ll ever pet. Rose has a cute little meow that’s as adorable as her personality, and she loves to talk when she’s excited. While she might be a bit shy at first and takes her time warming up to new people, once she feels comfortable, she will melt your heart.

Rose is a cuddler! She loves snuggling up with her people, especially when it’s time to settle in for the night. And she’s eager to roll over for some tummy rubs while purring like a little motor. She’s also been taught some fun tricks, like “Look at me” will make her boop your nose with hers for a treat.

One of Rose’s favorite things is to be picked up and have her forehead kissed. She loves it so much that she’ll even nudge her forehead toward you for more kisses. How cute is that?

Rose is also a fantastic companion for other cats. She’s very gentle and submissive, so she gets along well with her kitty friends. She doesn’t want to play or run around the house, so she’s not suited for hyperactive cats (they scare her!)—she just enjoys hanging out and relaxing with others, and will often request a grooming session and lay with her friends.

While she can still be a little shy sometimes, her loving personality and beautiful looks more than make up for it. If you’re looking for a snuggly, affectionate kitty who’ll show you all her love once she trusts you, Rose might just be your perfect match!

Gender: Female
Breed: DSH
Adoption fee: $185
Location: Bonogin, Gold Coast
Snuggle Scope: Super sweet and loving
Cat Scope: Is amazing with every cat she has ever met
Dog Scope: Is great with the small dog in her foster home
Child Scope: Has such an amazing disposition she would be wonderful with children

About:

This sweet girl came to us from a far north pound heavily pregnant. From the day she arrived into care she has been a sweetheart.

She had 4 babies that she lovingly raised. They have all been adopted and are adults themselves now, however Sian is still waiting for her turn.

Sadly being a DSH tabby, she tends to be overlooked.

She has lived with a small dog in her foster home and was absolutely fine with her.

Slash – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Slash
DOB: 12/10/2015
Gender: Male
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: North Lakes
Snuggle scope: Absolutely on his own terms
Cat scope: Single cat household
Dog scope: A little unpredictable, okay if the dog keeps their distance
Child scope: Will tolerate gentle children giving him pats
Medical Note: Slash came into care with a urinary blockage so severe he needed emergency surgery to save his life. Because of this, he now needs a special prescription diet for the rest of his life to prevent further blockages occurring.

About:

Slash (named for the famous guitarist) is a closet sweetheart.

Most interactions with Slash are on his terms, but when you get it right, he rewards you with a satisfied blink and even a brief purring – which is a cross between purring and grunting! He loves to sleep and has a few favourite spots. He is very diligent in using the scratching tower and has never damaged furniture. He is very good at using a closed litterbox and is not fussy about litter brand changes.

Slash is however fussy with food and is also on a special renal diet – he would refuse food repeatedly if he does not like the particular flavour, he loves dry food but is reluctant to drink water. It is important that extra liquid gets added to his wet food (bottled water as he seems to hate council water!)

Slash will need a lot of love and encouragement and tends to share his sweet side with one preferred person only, so if you are perhaps that special person that has heaps of patience and a lot of kitty love, Slash will eventually learn to adore you also.

Sunny – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Sunny
DOB: 29/03/2024
Gender: Male
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Carindale
Snuggle scope: very snuggly
Cat scope: great
Dog scope: good
Child scope: good

Medical note: Sunny has had an eye ulcer caused by cat flu. There is a possibility that an ulcer could reoccur during a flu flare up when stressed, which may require a course of antivirals and eye drops to manage. The vet also noticed he had a very small incipient cataract in his right eye, which doesn’t require treatment yet, but will need a recheck in a year (sept 2025)

About:

Meet Sunny, with a bright and friendly personality to match his name! His gorgeous amber eyes will zero in on you as he searches for his snuggles, but he doesn’t rely on his ‘kitten cat’ eyes to melt your heart, he’ll go straight for the head butt and snuggle in.
Hard to believe, but Sunny was once a shy mummy’s boy, until one day he realised people could also provide him with cuddles and attention – he quickly decided this was the best thing ever.
He loves to bounce and run around playing and wrestling with his friends, but once he settles down he needs his cuddles and kisses, and reassurance he’s mama’s bestest boy, right? He’ll even use his little voice to call out when he needs you and comes running when you call him. Sunny is happy to be cradled against your shoulder like the baby he believes himself to be, or curled up in your lap or next to you on the lounge or bed.
Sunny gets along great with all the other cats in his household, he loves to play chasey and wrestle with his friends and would like to snuggle with them if they’d let him. But he’s also polite and good at leaving alone the grumpy one/s. He’s happily living with a large dog, and while he’s only briefly met a few children, he has loved the activity and fun they can have together.
Sunny would love his very own mum (and/or dad), and would bring some warm cuddly sunshine into his new home.

Tam came into care heavily pregnant and needed a life-saving c-section to deliver her kittens. After a rough start, she blossomed into the perfect mum, but now it’s her time to shine and find her very own forever family.

Tam isn’t just any cat—she thrives on human interaction and needs to be with people. She’s a confident, social butterfly who greets every visitor at the door. Tam doesn’t hide when company comes over; instead, she welcomes them like a gracious hostess, ready for pats and attention.

One of Tam’s sweetest quirks is her “head push.” If you hover your hand above her head, she’ll rise up on her toes to meet your hand, pressing herself into your touch with pure affection.

Tasman – Male DSH

Name: Tasman
DOB: 06/03/2023
Gender: Male
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Northgate
Snuggle scope: Medium level cuddles (mostly on his terms)
Cat scope: great with right introduction
Dog scope: not tested
Child scope : good with older kids that know how to use gentle hands

About:
Hi my name is Tasman and I’m a beautiful tuxedo boy. I was rescued from the streets with my mum and brought to the vet where I finally learnt that human contact was actually kinda nice.
When I came to my new carer’s house, I realised that I had unlimited food, toys and lots of new brothers and sisters to play with. This was all quite bamboozling and I’m still slowly learning and can be a little scared sometimes (loud noise, unexpected touch). But I have made great strides and am now looking for a patient family that can really make me shine.
I absolutely love playing with my foster brothers and sisters and love joining in on morning zoomie time. I can scale my cat towers with great speed and then shoot off down the hallway. I can often be laying in the sunniest part of the house, just catching some rays.
I love my food, and gooble up every last bit. I even like to weave between my carers feet while I’m waiting for my food. Oh and I absolutely love chicken.
I like to have a snuggle with my carer and I usually cuddle up on the bed at night. I don’t mind being picked up and carried around. I will tell you when I’ve had enough.
I’m growing into a confident boy who wants a family that will be patient and shower me with love.

However he is also independent so once he has had his fill of smooch, Taz will find a comfy spot to snooze.

Taz is in care with his siblings so he is used to being with other cats. However he is quite independent so will likely well to being a solo cat and would probably prefer being the centre of attention.

He loves human attention so his new family will need to be able to spend regular quality time with him.

Taz isn’t familiar with young children yet so he will be apprehensive and will take time to adjust.

Timmy – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Timmy
DOB: 08/04/2021
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Gender: Male
Adoption fee: $185
Location: Logan Central
Snuggle scope: Likes cuddles in frequent short bursts
Cat scope: Good with other cats
Dog scope: Good with small gentle dogs
Child scope: Would be suited to older children, 12+
Medical Note: Timmy has a very sensitive stomach and requires a prescription diet. We are slowly introducing other food to see how his little belly reacts.
Timmy is in remission from FIP, Feline Infectious Peritonitis. At each check-up the specialist will complete a CT scan and full blood work. On the past few visits there has been no sign of FIP in this boy’s system. He has responded very well to this treatment.

About:

Where do I start! Timmy is an amazing boy and for a small boy he certainly has a big personality and is such a crazy character. Timmy loves to snuggle but only on his terms, some days he’s cuddled up on the couch next to me, other days he will be curled up on my lap and then there are the days he just wants his own space. When he does want attention and you pat him for a bit longer than he wants you to he will let you know in no uncertain terms.
Timmy loves to play fetch with his toys, and after retrieving one he struts back to me with it in his mouth, but if I’m not paying attention, he will drop it on my lap and will tell me to throw it again, he is quite vocal and persistent when we are playing fetch. I’m sure he thinks he is a dog. He is so entertaining!
Timmy would do well with a cat friend to play with, one that has as much energy as he does, he does play hard sometimes. He loves the resident cat, Elton and they will chase each other around the house, and will even tackle each other.

Turnip – Male DMH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Turnip
DOB : 28/02/2023
Gender : Male
Breed: DMH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Murarrie
Snuggle scope: curious about pats and will accept chin scratches sometimes and will accept pats whilst eating in short intervals. Generally wary of being touched.
Cat scope: Adores his brother Errol but is very wary of other cats.
Dog scope: Untested but unlikely to suit.
Child scope : Untested but will not suit household with young children.

About:

Turnip is a very pretty, sweet soft boy. He is shy at first but once he trusts you, the inquisitive, well-mannered clever boy he truely is shines! He and his brother Errol had a rough start at life until they came into care with BFF at about 5 months old. Initially, he was very scared of humans but slowly he’s come to trust his foster family and they have been delighted to watch him come out of his shell. He loves a good game of ball and will carry the closest ball over to his foster mum to let her know with his big sweet eyes he would like it very much if she could throw it for him. He will chase after it and bring it back to repeat the activity till he wears himself out and and it’s been a fantastic way to build trust. He also loves playing with his toys or batting a ball around Errol when there is not trusted human to throw it for him. He also loves a good wrestle with his brother and a game of chase. He is very curious about people whilst still being wary but he is very intrigued by mugs and will insist on coming to sit beside you and investigating what is in said mug. He’s started accepting gentle pats on his terms which is incredible progress. Given how far he has progressed it would be fantastic for him to be able to continue his healing journey in his forever home with his forever family. Turnip needs someone who understands cats, that will take the time to invest in helping him overcome his fear and be patient as they slowly build his trust. He would be happiest if he could continue to live with his brother as they are the best of friends. He has already made so much progress in such a short time and he will only to continue to blossom into his true happy self in the right home.

Victory – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Victory
DOB: 14/11/2023
Gender: Female
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Wakerley
Snuggle scope: On her terms
Cat scope: Great with other cats
Dog scope: Not tested
Child scope: Suited to older, gentle children
Vet work: Completed
Booster Due: 20/03/2025
Date expected to leave care: Now

About:

Victory came into care at only a few weeks old. She hadn’t been socialised with humans and wasn’t trusting at all. Full of hisses and scratches she despised being anywhere near people, and running for a place to hide was her first instinct. It has taken her carer six months to win her over, but now she loves pets and headbutts when on her terms.

When her carer prepares her meals she rubs against her legs giving her a little high pitched noise to say ‘I’m ready for dinner’. On the lounge she will approach to say hello and get a quick pet, and the bed is her safe space. When her carer is sitting or lying down she is most brave, and she will cuddle up next to her and accept pets and cuddles. Sometimes even headbutts while her little tail is wagging!

Victory is very playful, she loves toys and even catching bugs. She is fully litter trained and she’s never made a mistake. Victory is very social with other cats, while she is used to people in a home she would do best in a quiet home with adults or older children. She is still quite shy and it will take time to win her over, but when you do the reward is great!
