Turnip – Male DMH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Turnip
DOB : 28/02/2023
Gender : Male
Breed: DMH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Murarrie
Snuggle scope: curious about pats and will accept chin scratches sometimes and will accept pats whilst eating in short intervals. Generally wary of being touched.
Cat scope: Adores his brother Errol but is very wary of other cats.
Dog scope: Untested but unlikely to suit.
Child scope : Untested but will not suit household with young children.

About:

Turnip is a very pretty, sweet soft boy. He is shy at first but once he trusts you, the inquisitive, well-mannered clever boy he truely is shines! He and his brother Errol had a rough start at life until they came into care with BFF at about 5 months old. Initially, he was very scared of humans but slowly he’s come to trust his foster family and they have been delighted to watch him come out of his shell. He loves a good game of ball and will carry the closest ball over to his foster mum to let her know with his big sweet eyes he would like it very much if she could throw it for him. He will chase after it and bring it back to repeat the activity till he wears himself out and and it’s been a fantastic way to build trust. He also loves playing with his toys or batting a ball around Errol when there is not trusted human to throw it for him. He also loves a good wrestle with his brother and a game of chase. He is very curious about people whilst still being wary but he is very intrigued by mugs and will insist on coming to sit beside you and investigating what is in said mug. He’s started accepting gentle pats on his terms which is incredible progress. Given how far he has progressed it would be fantastic for him to be able to continue his healing journey in his forever home with his forever family. Turnip needs someone who understands cats, that will take the time to invest in helping him overcome his fear and be patient as they slowly build his trust. He would be happiest if he could continue to live with his brother as they are the best of friends. He has already made so much progress in such a short time and he will only to continue to blossom into his true happy self in the right home.

Victor – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Victor
DOB : 30/01/2023
Gender : Male
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Capalaba
Snuggle scope: Love public displays of affection
Cat scope: Best suited to be the only cat

About:

Victor has a big personality with a sweet, sensitive side. He exhibits the intelligence and curiosity of an inquisitive kitty but also has a gentle, therapeutic presence of a best friend. Affectionate and enthusiastic, Victor loves to greet you and spend time by your side. He’s not a lap cat but enjoys being near you and is a loyal companion.
He can be wary of new people and may play the shy kid but we are seeing this a lot less. He is not always fond of new cats unless slow introductions are made but may adapt well to a female kitten. He is good with dogs. Victor enjoys lounging on his cushion, playing with toys, and is motivated by treats. He is a super curious boy who would love to be challenged with food puzzles, toys etc
He would love a home with access to an outdoor enclosure, a few scratching towers, and a place where he can sleep on the bed or keep you company while you work. Victor is well-behaved, loves the morning sun, and will greet you at the door. He has been a beloved member of his foster family and will bring joy to his new home.

Victory – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Victory
DOB: 14/11/2023
Gender: Female
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Wakerley
Snuggle scope: On her terms
Cat scope: Great with other cats
Dog scope: Not tested
Child scope: Suited to older, gentle children
Vet work: Completed
Booster Due: 20/03/2025
Date expected to leave care: Now

About:

Victory came into care at only a few weeks old. She hadn’t been socialised with humans and wasn’t trusting at all. Full of hisses and scratches she despised being anywhere near people, and running for a place to hide was her first instinct. It has taken her carer six months to win her over, but now she loves pets and headbutts when on her terms.

When her carer prepares her meals she rubs against her legs giving her a little high pitched noise to say ‘I’m ready for dinner’. On the lounge she will approach to say hello and get a quick pet, and the bed is her safe space. When her carer is sitting or lying down she is most brave, and she will cuddle up next to her and accept pets and cuddles. Sometimes even headbutts while her little tail is wagging!

Victory is very playful, she loves toys and even catching bugs. She is fully litter trained and she’s never made a mistake. Victory is very social with other cats, while she is used to people in a home she would do best in a quiet home with adults or older children. She is still quite shy and it will take time to win her over, but when you do the reward is great!

Violet – Female DMH

Adoption Profile:
Name: Violet
DOB: 2/10/22
Gender: Female
Breed: DMH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Gold Coast
Snuggle scope: Violet loves a pat and a scratch but so far is not one to come sit on you. This is because she spends so much time with the other kittens – with less cats around she would become more focused on her person
Cat scope: Loves playing with resident cats.
Dog scope: Violet is friends with the resident small dog
Child scope: not tested but would do well with gentle children.

About:
Violet is a special kitty. She has a condition called mild Cerebular Hypoplasia. The way this affects her is her balance is not great and she is little bit wobbly (hence her nickname Wobbly Pants). She is healthy and behaves like any other kitten her age in every other way. She loves to play and it is adorable to watch as she tends to topple over at times. She is an absolute sweetheart and loves a nice pat. She will come rub up against your legs as you prepare her food. She was not socialised in her early months so is just learning to enjoy being loved. With patience and time I have no doubt she would become a very snuggly girl. She also has a very sweet soft meow.

Winton – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Winton
DOB : 09/10/2022
Gender : Male
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Taigum
Snuggle scope: Alternates between acting coy or demanding cuddles
Cat scope: Fine with correct instructions
Dog scope: Untested
Child scope : Fine with gentle hands

About:

Winton is a rather unique cat, despite being in care since he was 9 weeks old he has always been a little bashful. He adores being around other cats and will snuggle them and give them loving licks and massages.
But there has been some changes in Winton’s behaviour lately that is seeing him seeking out human company more and more. He will happily sit with his foster carers and their visitors just hanging out.
But the biggest and best change is his desire for affection. He will often come up and insist on BIG cuddles in what his carers now call his “safe zones” – in bed and on the couch. This is now extending to occasional pats while on the cat tree. He is also a chatty boy – sometimes wandering through the house talking. We can only imagine how much more a permanent home could do for this handsome ginger lad.

Zaylee – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Zaylee
DOB: 15/11/2022
Gender: Female
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Albany Creek
Snuggle scope: Super affectionate as soon as she feels safe with you
Cat scope: Not bothered by other cats
Dog scope: Not bothered by the resident small dog (who is very gentle)
Child scope: Adults only

About:

Zaylee’s thoughts…
I love my foster mum to bits! She makes me feel safe and protected and I know I can trust her.
I love hanging out with mum. During the day, I help her work (ie I sleep on her desk, and sometimes on her keyboard!) and in the evenings, I will hang out on the couch. Mum says my purring is too loud and she has to put up the volume! Bed time is my favourite. I’m always the first on the bed and I love my pats. Mum says I can be annoying sometimes because I like to sit on her chest, particularly when she is reading! If it’s cold, I’ll even suggest she lets me go under the covers for 5-10mins. Then I like to sleep on the bed, I’m the best weighted blanket you could possibly invest in!
Zaylee’s foster mum’s experience…
Zaylee is truly a delight to have in the house. She is the most delightful little kitty and I love having her around. That being said, I would really love to see Zaylee find a forever home where she can be cherished and loved by her own little family. She is truly deserving of an awesome person or persons who she can call her own family.
Zaylee came to us as a scaredy-cat – she has definitely come a long way since her introduction into our household nearly 12 months ago. In the early days, you wouldn’t even see Miss Zay Zay, she was that scared of humans. These days, when I wondering around the house, she isn’t far behind. I won’t lie, she does get spooked if you are walking around quickly, but she is fast to come back and see what you are up to. I’ve even managed to pat her whilst I’ve been in a standing position (the most scary position for Zaylee because she must feel like we tower over her). Zay Zay will even delight me with a leg rub these days… that’s how far she has come!
But realistically, if you are sitting or lying down, that’s when you will see the true Zaylee in full form. She is truly a sweet girl, and that cute little chirp she has when she greets you on the stairs… oh my, it melts my heart every time I hear it!!

Cat scope: Gets on fine with other cats, with correct introductions

Zeldon is a very handsome tuxedo lad who is very shy. He would prefer to get to know his surroundings in his own time, but once he feels safe, he will climb up on your lap for a cuddle, purring and snuggling. If by some chance you are reading a book this will have to end immediately or be prepared for Zeldon to push it out of the way so that he is the centre of your attention. His two favourite things in the world are his toys and his food. If you have a creamy treat available, Zeldon will be your best buddy in no time, as he absolutely loves these.
